Master of Science in Global Health and Population, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health
Scientific writer and editor, Seattle, Washington • Aug 2016 – present
I have partnered with researchers and faculty at Ariadne Labs, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Partners In Health to develop research papers, case studies, and other publications for worldwide audiences. My work focuses on primary health care systems, community health workers, verbal and social autopsy research, child and infant mortality, and health systems strengthening.
Research analyst, Ariadne Labs, Boston, Massachusetts • Feb – Dec 2018
I conducted research to understand gaps in the knowledge of how to measure and improve primary health care in low- and middle-income settings. I developed a research protocol, conducted primary research and logistical coordination, analyzed data, and authored a manuscript based on our findings, published in BMJ Global Health, a leading global health journal.
Scientific writer, Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, Seattle, Washington • Jun 2014 – Jun 2016 (Communications Data Coordinator, Jun 2014 – Sep 2015)
I wrote and managed the production of high-quality peer-reviewed scientific papers for IHME’s work in the fields of epidemiology, demography, and social determinants. I wrote articles and created content for a range of projects and audiences including Humanosphere, Acting on Data, and the IHME newsletter. As Co-Managing Editor, I oversaw the publication of Population Health Metrics, an independent scientific journal housed at IHME that addresses issues relating to concepts, methods, ethics applications, and results in the measurement of the health of populations.
